Nicola E. Sackey is the current Miss Ghana UK, and she is predominantly using her crown to promote her charity in Ghana known as the Eagle Sports Foundation. Prior to the beauty pageant, Ms Sackey had already set up the Foundation at the beginning of 2008, and thought taking part in the competition will be a good platform to promote the Foundation further and reach the UK and especially the Ghanaian public. Having been an athlete from a young age when growing up in Ghana, she felt Ghana needed more opportunities and structures in place, to be able to tap into the raw and natural gift already had.


The Foundation aims to identify, develop and nurture new and current athletes to increase Ghana’s participation in track and field events at International stages such as the World Championships and the Olympic Games. Its objective is to seek, nurture and select elite athletes who are thriving in their individual event to go through a well designed and intense progression of training camps and effectively construct a recognisable athletics program for individuals who want to get started in athletics, as well as organise regular competitions throughout the year for its athletes.
It is the Foundation's vision to seek, develop and support athletes and increase Ghana's representation in Track and Field events at international stages. Its mission is to increase the capacity of track and field athletes in Ghana, and produce world class athletes in every event, while generating a national awareness and interest in Ghana Athletics.

Aside being Miss Ghana UK, Ms Sackey is a Personal Fitness Trainer and a Model by profession, who is currently taking the UK catwalk and modelling scene by storm.
